The destruction of the ozone layer and the harmful effects of ultraviolet light have become global issues recently. Ultraviolet light is invisible rays of sunlight, which can be an archenemy for human skin.
In particular, UV-A, which comprises 90~95% of ultraviolet light, can destroy collagen, causing wrinkles and skin sagging by photo-aging. Experts say 80% of skin aging is caused by UV-A.
Our company has succeeded in cutting these UV-A which destroy collagen to its limit. PA is an index to show preventive effects against UV-A.
Our product has accomplished UVAPF 23.0. This is an epoch-making figure, going far beyond accustomed standards. The index to show the preventive effects of UV-B is called SPF, short for Sun Protection Factor. Our product has accomplished 50＋ in terms of SPF. This means extension of the time required to 50 times until the skin gets sunburn, compared with the time required for untreated skin to get sunburn.
Caprêve sunscreen can be regarded as the ultimate solution for ultraviolet light, most effectively protecting against both UV-A and UV-B.
6% of sunlight to reach the ground is UV. The wavelength of UV-A is in between 320 ＆400nm, while that of UV-B is in between 290＆329nm. Since UV-B has a shorter wavelength, the amount of the light to reach the ground is 1/10 of each UV-A, either being absorbed by the ozone layer. However, with the destruction of the ozone layer, skin troubles caused by UV-B have become more serious.
Please look at this cross-section of skin tissue. This shows the UV preventive effect of conventional UV care products. A conventional UV product is placed on the skin. There are UV absorbent and UV scattering agent. While UV absorbent controls skin inflammation by absorbing UV by itself, UV scattering agent prevents UV reaching skin by making sunlight bounce off, including ultraviolet light.
Conventional UV care products are blended with UV-A absorbent or UV scattering agent, made of titanic oxide or zinc oxide. However, this UV-A absorbent has the defect of being hard to dissolve with other solutions, and it crystallizes. For this reason, only a limited amount can be blended. On the other hand, UV scattering agent is powder and it has microscopic spaces when applied to the skin, allowing UV-A to penetrate.
You will know how the UA-V absorbent is scattered. The blue line to the left shows UV-A, part of which will be absorbed and the rest will be bounced off. At the right side, most parts of UV-A are passing through between the UV-A absorbent, reaching deep into the dermis of the skin to destroy collagen and elastin.
Caprêve sunscreen is placed on the skin. It has a very orderly structure. UV-A will be absorbed by UV-A absorbent. UV-B will be absorbed as well.
Next, we will show you an image illustration of the ingredient comparison of our product and conventional UV products.
This sphere image shows the easy-to-understand structure of conventional UV-care products. You will notice how both UV-A absorbent and UV-B absorbent are scattered. In particular, since UV-A absorbent is crystallized when more than a certain amount is blended, only limited amount can be blended technically.
As a result, what happens is the UV-A intruding into the skin, allowing both UV-A absorbent and UV-B absorbent to contact skin directly. Direct contact of absorbent to skin may cause damage to the skin.
This image illustration shows the structure of Caprêve sunscreen. Esterol #26, firmly envelopes the group of absorbents, namely UV-A absorbent as well as UV-B absorbent. Substantial amount of UV-A absorbent may be blended, leading to complete protection from intrusion by UV-A into the skin. Besides, as the exterior side is composed of water or moisture ingredients, it protects skin with a light and smooth feeling when used, and it can be rinsed off.
